To the young lady who posted; "It's a great school, but it's small and doesn't offer much. " & to all others. My name is Terry Joe Gateley and I have raised 4 children alone. My second to youngest transferred from Foster HS after her freshman year to Brazos HS. As this young lady said, it is a GREAT SCHOOL & it is small, and I would think those 2 statements would be enough for anyone looking for a GREAT SCHOOL; ya think ? But to say this school doesn't have much to offer is SOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! ignorant. I would think anyone reading her post must ask them self; hey, did she not just contradict herself? This school is always in the playoffs in most extracurricular activities, has an old school type of teaching, is ULTRA SAFE, (that deserves to be said again), is ULTRA SAFE !!), located in a cotton field between 2 towns of LESS THAN 500 people, of which both towns support the school. Look, I could go on & on but just let me say this. You can send your child to a Lamar Consolidated Independent School District or; to Brazos HS just 11 short miles west on Tx HWY 36 OR to Needville HS which offers the same as Brazos HS just 11 miles EAST on Tx HWY 36. What else can I say in short? Oh, less drugs in the schools, more structure and discipline that stays with the students after they leave, being able to sit in the end zone at football games in your car or lawn chair(try that in the larger districts) and more positive things that you would just have to experience on your own. In short, these are the 2 diamond earrings & best kept secrets in TEXAS.

It's a great school, but it's small and doesn't offer much.
